How Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr during COVID-19 Pandemic

There are a lot of things that are happening right now in 2020, with the biggest one being covid-19, which has shown to give a lot of impact to a lot of things, including school, society, and even religion. Indonesia is famous for its reputation as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, with around 87% of the population confirming to be muslims. Around May, after the fasting month has ended, muslims usually will pray EID al-Fitr together in mosques and it is one of the most celebrated holidays for muslims in Indonesia, but because of the pandemic that has changed. The government, specifically MUI (Majelis Ulama Indonesia) had announced to operate salat eid at home, “Eid al-Fitr prayers are highly worshiped to be carried out in congregation in the field, mosques, prayer rooms and other places.
